A Garnishment is a legal process by which one party may collect money from another party, after a money judgment has been entered. There are 2 types of Garnishments:
An Earnings Garnishment is when a party is seeking a to collect a money judgment from a third party who owes or will owe earnings to the judgment debtor within the next 60 days.
A Non-Earning Garnishment is when a party is seeking to collect a money judgment from a third party who holds personal property or money, other than wages, belonging to the judgment debtor.
